The story behind AZnDOC
Because behind every medical file there is a person. And behind every person, a story.
Where the idea came from
I did not start my working life in medicine. I come from IT, from sales, and from the field.
I learned to understand systems, to solve problems, to work with very different people, and above all to notice one thing: the biggest problems are not always the most complex. They are often the ones we have ended up treating as normal.
For a long time, digital health gave me exactly that impression.
We have access to an extraordinary amount of technology today. We can order a meal in seconds, track a parcel on the other side of the world, or ask an artificial intelligence to explain almost any subject.
But when it comes to our own health, we are still often on our own.
And above all, that odd feeling of not quite knowing what to do between two appointments.
An idea came out of that. I did not want to build another app. I wanted to build a health companion: something simple, human and intelligent, able to support a person before, during and after their care journey.
An app that does not just store information, but helps make sense of it. That helps organise treatments, prepare an appointment, work out the right questions to ask a doctor, keep track of certain habits, and above all create a lasting link between a person and their health.
That is how AZnDOC began to take shape.
AZnDOC means something simple to me. A to Z. With you, at every step. Because health does not begin in the doctor’s office, and it does not end there either.
Health is a journey. And my ambition is for AZnDOC to be there for the whole of it.
Why me?
I do not claim to have all the answers. And I think that is precisely a strength.
My path has taken me across several worlds: IT, sales, management, customer relations, and now artificial intelligence. I have learned to look at a problem from more than one angle.
IT taught me how to build. Sales taught me to understand what people actually need. Management taught me to listen and to take responsibility. The field taught me something books cannot always teach: behind every problem, there is a person.
That is the outlook I want to bring to AZnDOC. I do not want to build impressive technology simply because it is possible. I want to build technology that is useful. Technology that reassures instead of complicating. That explains instead of burying people in information. That supports without replacing the human.
And above all, technology that never forgets that when someone opens a health app, they may be worried, tired, lost, or simply looking for answers.
Artificial intelligence must stay in the service of people
This is probably one of the most important convictions behind AZnDOC.
Artificial intelligence is changing how we live, work and find information. But in healthcare, technology has to be used with even more responsibility.
AZnDOC is not meant to replace doctors. It is not meant to diagnose in place of healthcare professionals. It is meant to do something different: help people understand better, prepare better, follow up better and take better care of themselves.
Because a better-informed patient can ask better questions. Because a better-prepared person can explain more clearly how they feel. Because the right information at the right moment can sometimes make all the difference.
An ambition bigger than an app
My ambition for AZnDOC goes beyond building a nice application. I dream of a world where everyone can have a real personal space devoted to their health.
A place where their journey is organised. Where their important information is accessible. Where their habits can be followed. Where their appointments can be prepared. Where their questions can be shaped. Where artificial intelligence can become a discreet assistant, available when it is needed.
But above all, I dream of an experience that gives people one essential thing: the feeling of no longer being alone with their health.
AZnDOC may start as an app. But in my vision, it could become far more than that: an ecosystem, a personal health assistant, a bridge between technology, patients and healthcare professionals. A new way of living through a medical journey.
I know the road will be long. Building something in healthcare is not just a technology project. There are constraints. Responsibilities. Questions of security, of privacy, of trust. And above all, one absolute requirement: never forgetting that we are working around people’s lives and wellbeing.
I do not know how far AZnDOC will go. I do not yet know what the final version will look like. But I know why I want to start.
Because I deeply believe technology can do better. Because I believe artificial intelligence can be used differently. Because I believe a health app should not only be somewhere you look things up: it should be somewhere you feel understood, supported and better prepared.
What if it all started here?
AZnDOC today is an idea, a project, a vision. But every big thing starts that way: with someone looking at a problem and thinking, “we can surely do better”.
So I decided to try.
I am not building AZnDOC only to create a company. I am building it with the ambition of creating something that genuinely serves. Something my own family could use. Something I could be proud to see in the hands of millions of people. Something that might one day let someone feel a little less lost when facing their health.
That is the vision that keeps me going.
AZnDOC. With you, from A to Z.
Because technology can be intelligent.
But it must never forget to be human.
